Agility Robotics unveiled Digit 5, a new humanoid robot designed for warehouses and factories. The system works directly alongside human workers, using AI, sensors, and visual and audio alerts to maintain safety. Digit 5 lifts up to 22.7 kilograms, charges in nine minutes for roughly 90 minutes of operation, and offers swappable grippers for tasks like bin handling and machine loading. It builds on Digit 4’s OSHA-reviewed deployment record. As the first partner for Nvidia’s Halos safety platform, Agility reports more than $300 million in orders. Production in Salem, Oregon, targets up to 10,000 units annually, with first customer deliveries expected in early 2027, including Europe.
This update represents a notable development in the Ai sector. Organizations and founders tracking this space should evaluate potential strategic and technical implications on their operations.
