Chainlink has launched Time-Weighted Average Price feeds on mainnet, offering 30-second and 60-second windows to supply manipulation-resistant crypto price data. Polymarket will begin using these feeds to settle short-duration markets from 7 August. Unlike single-snapshot oracles, the new feeds average prices over brief intervals, helping dilute the impact of sudden trades near expiry. They are delivered through Chainlink Data Streams, with access for existing credentialed users and pricing from $150 per month. Polymarket will migrate its 5-minute, 15-minute and 4-hour crypto markets to TWAP-based settlement, supported by $1 million in liquidity incentives during August. Chainlink continues soak testing and infrastructure calibration ahead of broader potential DeFi adoption.
This update represents a notable development in the Crypto sector. Organizations and founders tracking this space should evaluate potential strategic and technical implications on their operations.
