TotalEnergies sells 50 percent renewables stake to KKR
TotalEnergies agreed to sell a 50 percent stake in a portfolio of European renewable-energy assets to private-equity firm KKR, forming a joint venture focused on operating and expanding these power projects. The transaction covers a mix of solar and onshore wind farms across several European countries. It reflects TotalEnergies’ strategy to recycle capital from mature assets while accelerating its shift from traditional oil and gas toward low-carbon energy businesses. The deal provides KKR with stable, long-term infrastructure exposure and gives TotalEnergies additional funds for new projects. Investors will watch how this partnership affects future renewable valuations, project pipelines, and competitive dynamics in Europe.
